    Programs that provide assistance in the form of labor and supplies to help people improve the energy efficiency of their homes and protect them from the elements. The program provides ceiling insulation, attic venting, double glazed windows, weather-stripping, minor housing envelope repairs, low-flow showerheads, evaporative cooler vent covers, water heater blankets, pipe wrap, duct wrap, switch and outlet gaskets, caulking, and other related energy conservation measures. Weatherization programs may have age, income, disability or other eligibility requirements.

    Volunteer Weatherization ProgramProgram conducted each Fall that assists low-income elderly or disabled homeowners living in the home with volunteers to weatherize the home.     Weatherization Assistance ProgramProvides a review of home's energy efficiency, which identifies where air leaks may be occurring, inefficient appliances, etc. Also offers installation of weatherization measures to increase energy efficiency of a home. The structure must be able to benefit from being weatherized. The weatherization work consists of caulking; weather-stripping; adding ceiling, wall, and floor insulation; patching holes in the building envelope; duct work, and tune-up, repair or replacement of energy inefficient heating and cooling systems where applicable. If a member of the household is 60 or older, or disabled, or a household has one or more children age 5 and under, then they qualify for the repairs, or up to two portable Heating or Cooling Appliances year-round.
